Description

The plastic spool option is a less expensive option to the aluminum spool style holders while still offering the same design benefits as the aluminum style holders. We also offer the option of either plastic or aluminum base plates with this style holder. The plastic base plates are less expensive but not as strong as the aluminum base plate option. The aluminum base plate option provides added strength in the base plate while maintaining the benefits of plastic tops and reduced cost over the aluminum style holders. If you are mounting them on a skiff we recommend the aluminum base plate option.

**Warning** the base plate hole patterns for the plastic base plates and the aluminum base plates are not the same. The aluminum base plates are designed to take bigger screws. If you can not decide which base plate option to buy we recommend you purchase the aluminum base plates.
